Passport front page
Valid passport issued within the last 10 years.
Must have at least 3 months' validity beyond the scheduled return.
Should have at least two empty pages for visa affixation.
No observations on the front data page.
Application form
Complete the application online using the VIDEX website
Print and submit all pages of the application form, including the barcodes.
Ensure it is filled out and signed.
Passport last page
Provide a copy of the biometric and address page of the passport.
Personal Cover Letter
Clearly state the purpose and duration of your travel.
Declaration on Travel and Health Insurance
Sign a declaration of travel with valid medical insurance.
Declaration of true and complete information
Sign two declarations of True and Complete Information.
Hotel tickets
Include proof of hotel reservations, rental of a holiday home, or campus residence reservation.
If staying with a family member or friend, provide proof of sponsorship, a confirmation from the third person with signature, proof of address, and a copy of their passport or German ID card.
If travelling to multiple Member States, show proof of accommodation in each.
Travel Medical Insurance
The insurance should cover the entire duration of your Schengen trip with a minimum medical expenses coverage of EUR 30,000.
Ensure it's from approved Indian travel insurance companies as per German Missions' guidelines.
Address Proof
Please provide a document that verifies your current residence, such as a rental agreement or an electricity bill.
Photograph
Include a recent biometric passport picture
Dimensions: 35mm x4 5mm
Must have a white background with 70%-80% face coverage.
Not older than six months.
IT return - 3 years
Indian income tax return (ITR) acknowledgment for the last three assessment years
